The Mission
The League of Astonishing Strings brings together a collection of leading string educators, composers, arrangers and promoters whose goal is to envision, create and produce innovative string music projects, events, tours, and products.
ASTONISHING
The glue that binds all of the League’s projects is the attitude and feeling projected by the word “Astonishing” – meaning to “surprise or impress some one greatly”. The League is not interested in the ordinary. It wants to inspire the world with leading edge, energetic, and bold ideas.
CONNECTING
We invite collaborations, bringing together diverse organizations and ensembles. Strings are our main focus but we like connecting other performance art groups to collaborate and perform together, to create once in a lifetime experiences.
